The Cuyama Valley Planning and Advisory Committee formed in March of 2005.
The only development plan for the Cuyama Valley comes under the General Plan of Santa Barbara County.
It was understood that the county government was requesting a development plan be created specific to the Cuyama Valley.
As word got out to the residents of the valley, people interested in such a plan began to call public meetings
to discuss what should be done. Hence, the CVPAC was formed for this purpose.
The CVPAC is made up of people interested in what happens to the Cuyama Valley. The CVPAC is an independent
group and not associated, recognized, or supported by any private, public, or government entity.
The meetings have been energetic with an open and honest exchange of ideas.
The group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Montgomery Recreation Hall in New Cuyama.
The entire valley is invited to attend.
